This project was an experiment in non-linear story-telling. The viewer chooses which part of the action to watch and can even influence the outcome. Regardless of where the viewer looks the story continues and the viewer can easily miss parts of the narrative. This encourages repeat viewings (and possibly a little frustration). I built Shadow of Ganymede in Macromedia’s Authorware (a multimedia authoring package). I developed considerable experience with Authorware working on Digizoo (30 interactive modules about all the groups of the animal kingdom from single-celled organisms to mammals) at the University of Ottawa.
